Sunday Style: Dot [Pinspiration]

When it comes to wearing peplums, you often see peplums as part of shorter skirts, skinny pants, or pants, but it’s not often to see a peplum with a maxi skirt. But when you see a maxi paired with a peplum, they go perfectly!

Atlantic-Pacific makes the peplum maxi marriage look divine.

Wedding Wednesday: Birdcage Veils

Birdcage veils are a look that have vintage glamor and add a certainly flair to any bride’s ensemble.  Birdcage veils has a certain timeless appeal and would be a lovely addition to a simpler dress.

Canadian Jewelry Designers

In honor of Canada Day (July 1st), Cable Car Couture has devoted today’s post to three wonderful Canadian jewelry designers from Vancouver, Canada–my beloved hometown.  It is a hub of creativity and artistry, and these jewelry designers are excellent examples of that.

Canadian Jewelry Designer #1: Bella-Bijou Jewelry

The designer of Bella-Bijou Jewelry, Jaime Pickering, says that most of her designs come to her in her dreams.  She uses the pure metals–sterling silver, 14K gold, brass–instead of plated metals.

The Perfect Pencil Skirt

Pencil skirts are absolutely killer.  They totally flatter a woman’s form with the cinched high waist, extending the torso.  Plus, they look great on any woman, regardless of her dress size — who can argue with that?  It’s no wonder pencil skirts have been worn since the 50s!

As part of their most recent collection, The Mod Bod has released the perfect pencil skirt.  It has cute pocket detailing and comes in black, chocolate brown and khaki.  However, the best feature by far is its enclosed slit.  This enclosed slit enables the wearer to remain modest, even if she has happens to bend over during the day.

The Mod Bod’s pencil skirts were featured at the UVU Women’s Expo last weekend and received rave reviews.  In case you missed it, you can see the pencil skirts right here at Cable Car Couture!

And now for the best part…

This skirt will be a staple in your wardrobe for years to come.  Not bad for $44.95, hey?

The Mod Bod pencil skirt can be found online at www.themodbod.com or at Blend Fashions at www.blendfashions.com.
