Haiti was hit with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake at 4:53pm yesterday, January 12, leaving 3 million people in need of emergency aid.  Since Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, it is ill equipped to handle aftermath of the earthquake alone.
