Recently I sat down with Gayelynne Richards of Arbonne International to chat about some simple solutions for clear skin. Having been in the beauty industry for the last 27 years, she had some excellent suggestions which can be useful for women of any age to achieve beautiful, radiant skin.
- Simple Solution for Clear Skin #1: Avoid touching your face.
As simple as that may sound, you may be surprised at how often you absentmindedly touch your face during the day. The oils and dirts on your hands transfer to your face and can clog pores, resulting in blemishes.
- Simple Solution for Clear Skin #2: Clean your cell phones and telephones often.
You can purchase antibacterial wet wipes to clean the surface of your phones that come in contact with your face.
- Simple Solution for Clear Skin #3: Change your pillowcase frequently.
Think of the oils from your hair that transfer to your pillowcase every night. If you toss and turn in your sleep, as many of us do, those oils will end up on your face. After changing your pillowcase one night, can flip your pillow over for the next to avoid changing it every single night.
- Simple Solution for Clear Skin #4: Use witch hazel as a morning facial toner.
You’ll notice lots of skin care companies have witch hazel as an ingredient in their toners. Witch hazel is a natural, affordable solution to remove dead skin cells and dirt first thing in the morning.
- Simple Solution for Clear Skin #5: Beware of hats.
If you wear a hat one day and notice a break-out the next, there’s your culprit!
- Simple Solution for Clear Skin #6: Drink lots of water.
Water will help flush the toxins from your body and help encourage clear, beautiful skin.
