Do you have a dress in your closet that’s sleeveless or strappy that you’re dying to wear? In a new segment called Means to Modesty, we are going to explore different things you can do to make an outfit modest. First up: T-shirts are a great means to modesty. Many women will layer a T-shirt underneath a halter top or strappy dress and voila — modest!
Case in point. I was the lucky recipient of this amazing Wise & Proper dress from Aspiring Couture this summer. It came in the mail beautifully wrapped and packaged and the quality is to die for!
As I found myself wondering how I could wear my new dress modestly, I happened upon a V-neck T-shirt and tried layering it underneath, just for kicks. Can I tell you, it’s the perfect solution?

Not to be too critical, but those look like are awfully low necklines to be called "modest T'shirts." I like the rule of thumb of nothing lower than four fingers width from your collarbone.
There are certainly differences in perception about modesty within the fashion world. Personally, I'd be wearing a tank top underneath some of those V-necks.
