Means to Modesty: T-Shirts

Do you have a dress in your closet that’s sleeveless or strappy that you’re dying to wear?  In a new segment called Means to Modesty, we are going to explore different things you can do to make an outfit modest.  First up: T-shirts are a great means to modesty.  Many women will layer a T-shirt underneath a halter top or strappy dress and voila — modest!

Case in point.  I was the lucky recipient of this amazing Wise & Proper dress from Aspiring Couture this summer.  It came in the mail beautifully wrapped and packaged and the quality is to die for!

As I found myself wondering how I could wear my new dress modestly, I happened upon a V-neck T-shirt and tried layering it underneath, just for kicks.  Can I tell you, it’s the perfect solution?

  1. Not to be too critical, but those look like are awfully low necklines to be called "modest T'shirts." I like the rule of thumb of nothing lower than four fingers width from your collarbone.
