Here’s a sneak peek at the Pantone Color of the Year photo shoot I was part of that was published on The Perfect Palette. Inspired by love in movement, with overtures of ballet and brimming over with romance, these photos are absolutely breathtaking!
I did some whimsical wedding envelope calligraphy for this shoot that reflected the ethereal nature of the shoot.
Today I had the pleasure of working at the Creme de la Creme Wedding Show at the Four Seasons Vancouver alongside Sandra Leung of Yaletown Wedding Gallery, my wedding photographer! She has such a beautiful eye and is constantly capturing beautiful moments.
The Creme Show took my break away! Every detail was considered, not a petal was out of place. Aren’t these the most exquisite gowns? Photo by Tamiz Photo, gowns by Bisou Bridal, makeup by Nadia Albano Style Inc., flowers by Celsia Floral, jewelry by Jeweliette Shop.

Today my beautiful cousin Miranda and her beau decided to tie the knot and eloped in front of an intimate group of family and friends. People basically had 24 hours notice and I’m so grateful to have been able to rearrange my schedule and drive up Vancouver to witness their vows.
True to her sustainable fashion personal philosophies, she bought nothing — no decorations, no ring, no flowers, no big white wedding dress (she wore her grad dress). The only money spent was on a haircut. Bonus points for grabbing the groom’s butt during her wedding vows. Congratulations, Miranda and Brian!
So who says your wedding has to cost a fortune, take years to plan, and take every ounce of your sanity and attention span? What a lovely alternative!
Recently local photographers Laura + Matt tied the knot and I had the immense pleasure of helping with their wedding calligraphy. Look at this lovely collaboration with Mike Monaghan‘s photo and my brush lettering! Swoon.
I have a confession to make. I have a weakness for Twilight as evidenced by the fact that I just got home from seeing an advanced viewing of Breaking Dawn (which is far better than a midnight viewing, I assure you).
Can I just tell you that Bella’s wedding dress is beautiful? It is a simple V-neck Carolina Herrera dress with a structured bodice, sleek silhouette, beautiful lace detailing and a row of buttons down the back for a vintage flavor.
That gaudy wedding engagement ring aside, the wedding scenes were exquisite.
Are you planning on seeing Breaking Dawn? Thoughts on Bella’s dress?
We’ve all been waiting for Kate Middleton’s wedding dress to be unveiled and today it was, in all its splendor. The bride wore an Alexander McQueen gown with a gorgeous lace overlay, designed by Sarah Burton. How refreshing it is to see such a classy gown.
Something new: Leaf-shaped diamond earrings, a gift from her parents
Something borrowed: Cartier tiara from Queen Elizabeth II
Something blue: Blue ribbon was woven into the interior of the gown. Also, Princess Diana’s sapphire engagement ring
Here are some of our favorite photos from the Royal Wedding.
What did you think about Kate Middleton’s wedding dress?
Rosalind’s gown is a custom couture gown by Hanna Couture. As she tells The Brides Cafe, “I knew I wanted something with a restrained, vintage feel and that I didn’t want any floral, shiny satin, beading or sequins.”
This wedding is practically the epitome of a vintage wedding. Isn’t it glorious?
Today’s Wedding Wednesday features a winter wedding photo shoot by Camilla Binks and Branches Floral with makeup by Enizio. My favorite part of this photo shoot is the hot chocolate. And the lovely cover-up, reminiscent of the bolero from Lily & Iris we featured on last week’s Wedding Wednesday.
